With the passing of one of our beloved cats today, Jazz, it brings to mind the question, is it worth the pain of losing one to become so attached to pets?

The bereavement a pet owner goes through with the loss of a pet may seem silly to none pet owners.  But just as the loss of a family member is hard on any person, so it is with the loss of a pet for those of us for whom they are family members. The loss is the same; it leaves a void that can not be explained easily to those who have not been through it.

Just as with the loss of any family member or close friend; the void may be filled somewhat by the memories of the good times shared with person or pet.

Jazz catAnd that is what gets us through times like these.

Rest in peace.  Jazz, we love you.
